Upwork is worth it for me — and maybe you too

There is a lot of Upwork hate floating around — type in a simple Google search and be prepared for some cringe stories.

And, I get it. Today on Upwork, I saw an advertisement for an accountant needing advanced accounting skills- for $5-$9/hour. Writing jobs are extremely underpaid- a 500-word article can earn 1 or 2 cents per word before Upwork’s 10% fee.
